Throwing Lucian Freud to the wind (another straggler creative resolution)

I once found time to sketch digital portraits on the fly. I bought my first iPad primarily to max out all the drawing and painting apps (Brushes, SketchBook Pro, ArtRage, etc.). Lately, though, my portfolio stopped at these:

There are a couple more where these came from but that’s about it. Some are unfinished; some I realize have been easy to overlook years later because of the casual mood in which I finished them. My creative resolution in the year of the horse is to do more. I don’t care if I bag that “likeness” that people judge portraits by, I want to keep drawing because that’s also how I remember people:
